This White-tailed doe is lying in a ditch next to a major highway, left there to die by the people that hit her. She cannot walk, as her back left leg is broken multiple times below the hock joint, and she has a dysfunction with the back right leg. She is only five minutes from the wildlife center.
Fortunately for her, a caring person spotted her in the ditch, and drove that five minutes to the wildlife center’s door, alerting staff so they could go and rescue her. She is currently at the Medicine River Wildlife Center recieving treatment, and if she responds positively and her condition stabilizes, she may be a good candidate for surgery and release.
